One very nice feature with this model is that the fenders and mud flaps have been supplied unattached to the model and require fitting by the collector. This allows the model to be configured in different ways depending on the trailer hooked up or the collectors own preference.

The rear chassis features very accurately moulded realistic looking tyres with silver wheel hubs. Out of the box, the wheels have no covers and the tag axle, which can be raised off the ground requires the chromed cover to be fitted to hide the axle locking brackets.

One option (Pictured above) is to fit the single fenders to the front most axle and fit the mud guard brackets into the rear holes in the chassis. This gives the model an intersting look and two mud flaps have been included in the box as spares. Another alternative configuration is to fit the remaining plastic fanders to the chassis (As pictured below) The rear ones have integrated light units and flexible rubber flaps which again is a very nice touch on the model.

The large chromed headache rack located behind the cab has intricate tie-down fixings and metal chains along with a storage bin and centrally mounted chromed storage box. A service lines hook-up bar is also fixed to the rear frame where the service line connectors can be placed if no trailer is connected. The twin exhaust stacks rise on each side of the chassis with integrated grab rails and photo-etched cooling jackets.

The accurately sculptured engine cover with chromed front trim and centrally mounted hood ornament opens forward to reveal the fully detailed engine bay inside. The bonnet has integrated headlights with amber painted indicator lights and below this is the chromed bumper bar.

The cab roof has five amber lights with two air horns fitted with a red visor above the windscreen. The metal mirrors need adding to the model and fit into the three holes in the cab doors. Both cab doors open to reveal the intricately captured interior which has detailed dashboard with simulated wooden panelling, steering wheel, controls and dials all captured. The seats appear to be sprung and have an intricate printed pattern on the main wear surfaces which is a nice touch on the model. Even a fire extinguisher has been fixed to the cab floor for that extra bit of detail.

Exhaust piping, water cooled radiator, complete with modelled cooling fan, air filter and the main engine block have been authentically reproduced within the engine bay. Cutouts in the side of the bonnet house black cooling grills whilst the wheel arches have been highlighted with black paint.

The gooseneck of the Rogers trailer can be coupled to the fully functional fifth wheel which slides along the truck chassis and has a working king pin connection bracket which is activated by moving the handle, just like on the full sized truck. The coiled service lines have connectors which fit into the holes in the gooseneck but they are not a stiff enough fit to remain in place.

The rear of the Rogers trailer feature a single flip up axle along with three fixed axles, the rear of which can be raised off the ground leaving only the front two axles on the ground. The flip axle locks into place with a metal pin and all four axles have accurate service line and suspension detailing.
